Pertemuan Bilateral, Pertukaran MOU dan Pernyataan Pers Bersama antara Indonesia dan Pakistan

Excellency President first of all I would like to once again thank you very touched I was received even before landing in Pakistan I was received and escorted by your Welcome to official ceremony for the exchange of agreements and use between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Indonesia. We are honored by the presence of the honorable president of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Prabu Subanto and the Honorable Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, His Excellency Muhammad Shivas Sharif. Today seven agreements andus will be exchanged. Now we proceed to the exchange of bilateral documents. First agreement between the higher education commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the ministry of education culture research and technology of the republic of Indonesia on mutual recognition of higher education certificates and degrees. It will be exchanged by his excellency Dr. Khaled Makbul Siddiki, Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, and His Excellency Brian Gulto, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. Second agreement between the government of the Republic of Indonesia and the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for grant program on the Indonesian aid scholarships. It will be exchanged by his excellency Dr. Khaled Makbul Siddiki, Federal Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training, and His Excellency Sugo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Third MOU on facilitation and business development for Simal and medium enterprises. It will be exchanged by his excellency Rana Tanir Hussein, Federal Minister for National Food Security Research and Coordination and His Excellency Sugonu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Fourth, MOU between the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia and the cabinet division represented by National Archives of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on archives cooperation. It will it will be exchanged by his excellency Senator Mohammad Isak Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and His Excellency Sugono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Fifth MOU between the National Narotex Board of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Interior and Narcotex Control of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on cooperation in preventing and combating illicit drug trafficking. It will be exchanged by His Excellency Senator Muhammad Isard Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and His Excellency Sugo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Sixth MOU on cooperation in halal trade and certification. It will be exchanged by his excellency Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce and His Excellency Suganu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Seventh and the last AOU on cooperation in the field of health. It will be exchanged by his excellency say Mustafa Kamal, Federal Minister of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination and His Excellency Sugano, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This concludes the exchange of documents ceremony. May I now request the honorable prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for his remarks. Your excellency, my dear brother, President Rau Subanto, distinguished members of the Indonesian delegation, Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, Federal Ministers, Excellencies, members of press, Ladies and gentlemen, assalamu alaikum and a very good afternoon. Salamat datang Pakistan. My very dear brother, Mr. President, it's a great pleasure once again to welcome you on behalf of the people of Pakistan. my government and myself for your personal interest to visit Pakistan, your second home. And this is a visit of any president from Indonesia after 7 years. It has been a big gap but as they say it's never too late. Mr. President, you are mentioning this morning that the Pakistan Air Force jet fighters escorted your widebody plane. I was there along with President of Pakistan to receive you. This was not a favor. a routine procedure. It was coming from our hearts that a very able dynamic leader from the largest Muslim country around the globe is visiting Pakistan after seven years. We should have done more than we what we did to welcome you and your wonderful delegation. Your excellency, today our discussion have been extremely productive and gratifying. And what we have decided to promote are bilateral trade, culture, interact in the field of medical health, education, vocational training. I think our milestones we have uh airmarked to achieve and I want to assure you on my part that I will work with you very closely to achieve all these targets diligently and as I have uh earlier mentioned that our bilateral trade stands at $4.5 billion dollars But more than 90% represents imports from our brotherly country Indonesia that is palm oil. We have discussed how to take corrective measures to balance this balance of trade uh through agree exports from Pakistan through uh exports of uh ITE initiatives and of course in many other areas where we can really do to fill this gap. Excellency, today we have also agreed that we would be very happy to send Pakistani doctors, dentists, medical professors and other related experts to Indonesia to fulfill your dream that you are building large number of medical colleges over there, universities. I want to assure you that whatever is possible for us in this behalf, we will do it without any delay and with great pleasure and most willingly. Your excellency, the great Indonesian poet Sapardi Jooko do wrote, "Warmth lives in sincerity." So this warmth is out of sarity, not out of routine protocols. And we genuinely feel that warmth today even though the weather is getting uh cooler in Islamabad in coming days it'll be uh a very chilling winter. Your excellency, our relations span over 75 years and your visit co cons coincided with this uh anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Let us agree to celebrate these 75 years with great fun and fair in Jakarta and in Islamabad simultaneously that will convey a very loud and clear message to all in sunundry. Your excellency I have already mentioned that our relations predate our independence. Our founder of Pakistan, Kaidasam Mohammed Ali Jana supported the uh war of independence of of Indonesia while he was the president of Indian Muslim League. We call it we call it all Indian Muslim League and he was supporting President Shikarno to the hilt and alhamdulillah in 1945. Uh August Indonesia claimed its independence even though the Dutch officially accepted in 1949 I believe. I think that was a great uh heroic struggle on the part of Ind Indonesian people, our brothers and sisters. And then little did we know that in 1965 our war against our uh our uh neighboring country Indonesia stood with Pakistan like a rock and this has gone into the annals of history in golden words and this will be remembered by the people of Pakistan for all time to come. Your excellency the confirmment of Indonesia's highest honor the Adip pura adipura upon kadyazam moham in 1995 post humorously symbolized the depth of our time-t tested friendship and brotherhood. Your excellency, your visionary steps reflect a deep and sincere commitment to the welfare and uplift of your people in Indonesia. your uh unwavering stand on Gaza has really resulted in peace in that part of the world and uh by the grace of Allah Almighty uh more bloodshed has stopped even though unfortunately Israel has has uh voiding this uh truce every now and then and it's high time that we sit down and really uh put our act together and stop this bloodshed over there for all times to come. Your Excellency, we are two brotherly countries. And as we look ahead, I'm confident that the bond between Pakistan and Indonesia will continue to grow in strength, depth, and vision. And your visit today will uh uh take these uh wonderful relations to a much higher level. Inshallah and in every sense of the word our two countries will cooperate with each other for progress peace not only between our two countries but in the entire region. Thank you very much for your visit. Pakistan Indonesia friendship long live your excellency my brother Mr. Shabbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister, distinguished ministers, high-ranking officials, distinguished members of the media. Once again, I would like to express to you my highest gratitude, my highest appreciation at the great honor you have given me, your government and the people of Pakistan has given me by the very warm reception I was given even before I landed. on Pakistan soil. I was received in the air, escorted by your distinguished Air Force pilots with your um JF17 Thunder uh great honor for me and also I'd like to express to you my deepest gratitude. You received me yourself with your president in the airfield and uh today we have had very productive uh meetings. We have achieved uh many agreements on various fields and uh we have addressed matters of uh mutual interest between us. We have common uh values. We have common uh interests. We are both uh very maybe the biggest Muslim countries in the world. But our our Islam is moderate Islam which uh promotes inclusivity, tolerance and uh the historic relations, the brotherly relations between our two countries uh are solid and uh It I think is very important for us in the coming days and coming years that we make use of this history, brotherly bond uh to benefit our people in most fields. So I'm very happy I'm very grateful that uh Pakistan is willing to help us in the field of health by sending your doctors, your uh professors and your uh experts to help us in our health sector. We have a very vast need of uh doctors and dentists and uh I'm starting a massive program of of uh education in this field. So your uh your assistance will be very uh strategic and critical for us. We really appreciate that. And also I've given instructions to my ministers that uh we will um uh expedite uh the rebalancing of our uh trade relations in practical means in practical terms and be assured that we uh want to move as fast as possible in all these fields. field of education, field of trade, field of agricultural cooperation and uh science, technology in all these fields. Uh we want to move very fast and also we are uh coordinating our foreign policy because we have common stand and common principles uh especially towards Palestine, towards Gaza and uh our ministers, our foreign ministers are closely in contact with each other and we will always uh try to we will always maintain uh common stand uh in this regard. Once again, we will not uh waver in our support for uh two-state solution in Palestine. Uh I think uh going forward we will I I feel uh very optimistic. I feel uh very bullish and uh I hope that I invite officially uh Prime Minister Sharif to visit Indonesia and uh also uh your leaders to come to Indonesia also and uh see what's happening and maybe assist us in providing uh your uh advice and thinking on how we can jointly uh enhance our cooperation.
